Mr. Brown Bakery– a premium bakery from Lucknow, trying to build it’s foothold in the online space with their cake selling business.
Objective:
To build awareness in Lucknow & increase sales of their cakes via website.
Research & Brand Audit:
2 other brands were already big in Lucknow and were more preferred for online cake delivery. Mr. Brown Bakery had a poor presence online, glitches in website and multiple social media handles.
Solution:
First we focused on fixing the website, making it more customer friendly along with hygiene fixing on Social Media. Parallelly we worked on SEO and Google Ads, with keyword research to start driving sales.
Execution:
Website & Social Media Strategy:
- Introduced Whatsapp & Chat buttons on website for query handling during order placement, as research showed drop offs. Also introduced a popup showcasing recent orders on website to encourage faster checkouts.
- Fixed the homepage by introducing a parallax design to most ordered cakes etc. as website had high bounce rate.
- Social Media: Setup a brand design alongwith a content strategy focusing on “joys of cake with Mr. Brown” – put out creative albums giving reasons to order a cake, eat cake etc.
SEO & AdWords
a) A thorough research on keywords revealed cake orders from Abroad as well. So set of 5 ads were created targeting different intentions & cities.b) The SEO brought the website on the first page of Google, within 3 months – from having 0 presence on Google.
Result: orders increased by 120% on daily basis.
